The Business Line Surface Radar has the objective to provide the worldwide defense market with innovative and reliable radar solutions. Within Surface Radar is the Technical Centre, and in particular the Technical Unit Processing, responsible for the development of the digital processing functions in radar and optronic sensors for naval and air defense applications.

 

Multidisciplinary teams pursue these developments, with specialists in the areas of system engineering, sensor functional design, and architecture, design and realisation of real-time embedded systems.

 

Position Summary:
Systems are operable at complex peace keeping operations and in conflict situations. This implies that they have to satisfy high performance criteria, combined with high maintenance and reliability requirements.

 

Traditionally this could only be achieved with manually programming in C. However, the latest market developments, including methods and tools like UML/Rhapsody and (real time) JAVA, come within our reach for certain parts of the application software, just as code generation. In addition we can migrate from development on VxWorks and Sun systems, to a Linux host- ánd target environment, with Eclipse as HDE.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree, preferably Computer Science and experience in real time software and JAVA programming,
• Preferably experience with real time Linux or other real time operating systems, UML, Rhapsody and multi-processor environments,
• Good English,
• You are an excellent technician with communicative skills, flexibility and drive.
