About the job
As a senior software architect you will work closely with production programs (of 10-50 workers each) that are applying new software methods and tools.
Introducing the (Rational) Unified Process, UML-modeling and object-oriented languages is the priority here.
You will also participate in Research and Development projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the software engineering process and environment.
Important themes are Product lines, Component Based Development and OMG’s Model Driven Architecture.
The R&D projects will be performed in the context of European projects with partners in both the defense and civilian industries.
About you:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science,
- broad experience with developing software applications using contemporary processes, methods and tools such as RUP,
- able to model fluently software with UML and have an excellent understanding of object-oriented methods,
- experience with one or more object oriented languages and are well aquatinted with modern middleware and component standards (CORBA, EJB),
- have an understanding of Web- and application servers. and a vision on software architecture, innovation and change management,
- good English and communication, presentation and reporting skills.
